Large white words build up on a black screen over blurred chat bubbles drifting upward; “At three in the morning.” is red.
“Scam links. Spam. Raids. At three in the morning.”
A red circle opens from the centre. Under the ZombyIO logo, “Auto moderation” appears in large white letters, and the green zombie mascot in a headset springs up, one hand raised behind a pane of glass.
“Meet ZombyIO Auto moderation.”
A zomby.io dashboard counts up to “13 rules”. Only “Scam and phishing links” is on by default; then every switch flips on with its action, such as Time out, Kick, Warn or Ban, until “13 of 13 rules are on.”
“Thirteen rules, each with its own action.”
In #general at 03:14, nitro.drop posts “Free Nitro for everyone” with a fake link, dlscord-gift.com/claim. It glitches away under a “Scam and phishing links” chip; ZombyIO says “That link is a known scam and was removed.”
“Known scam links disappear, and the channel is told why.”
Troll posts “f r e e n i t r o”. A card “See through evasions” closes the letters into “freenitro”, a match for “free nitro” on the word list. The post goes; ZombyIO says “That message contained a blocked word.”
“Spaced out letters? Seen through.”
A “Watch mode” switch turns on. Kai’s “free nitro? where” stays up, and #mod-log shows Rule “Banned words (free nitro)”, Result “Watch mode, nothing done”. A chip: “Nothing deleted, nobody punished”.
“Watch mode tests a rule before it acts.”
“Free.” in large red letters, then “All thirteen rules on every server. 100 banned words free, 5,000 with Premium.” Chips: “13 rules”, “Relaxed · Balanced · Strict”, “Watch mode”.
“Free to use.”
End card: the ZombyIO logo, a green zombie face in a blue headset, above “ZombyIO” and “Run your Discord server without the busywork.” A white button reads “zomby.io”, with “Free for every server” below.
“ZombyIO. Add it free at zomby.io.”
How it works
Thirteen rules, each with its own action. Once you switch auto moderation on, only the scam-link rule acts until you turn on more.
Exempt your moderators first, or the filter will act on them too.
Use watch mode for a day before letting a new word list act on anybody.
Set it up in three steps
Add ZombyIO to your server
Click “Add to Discord”, choose the server and confirm. Quick Start opens straight afterwards and asks what the server is for.
Add to DiscordOpen Auto moderation in the dashboard
Your server list, then Auto moderation: two clicks. Or press Ctrl K anywhere in the dashboard and type the name.
Set it up and save
Exempt your moderators, pick the log channel and switch auto moderation on. Then start from a preset such as Balanced, which sets all thirteen rules at once.
What is free, and what Premium adds
Premium costs €6 a month per server and is shared by every admin of that server. It raises limits, it does not unlock the feature.
| What | Free | Premium |
|---|---|---|
| Your own words in the filter | 100 | 5,000 |
| Limit a rule to certain channels or roles | Not included | Included |
Questions about Auto moderation
Is Auto moderation free?
Yes. Auto moderation works on the free plan, which is not a trial and does not expire. Premium costs €6 a month per server and only raises the limits in the table above.
Can I block every link except YouTube?
Yes. Switch on the Links rule, choose “Block every link except the ones I allow” and add youtube.com and youtu.be as allowed hosts. Subdomains count too, and scam links are still caught by their own rule.
Can people get past the word filter by writing i d i o t or 1d10t?
Not while “See through evasions” is on, which it is by default. It catches spaced-out letters, stretched spelling and leetspeak. Accents, lookalike letters from other alphabets and hidden characters are always seen through, with the switch on or off. Real words that still get caught go on the “Words that are always fine” list.
