How to check a Discord server’s setup and fix it in one click
Server Check looks at a server the way an experienced admin would: what @everyone may do, which channels leak, which settings leave the door open, and what ZombyIO itself is missing. Every finding says why it matters and how to change it, and most can be fixed on the page itself.

What you will end up with
A score out of 100, the findings sorted worst first, and below them the whole server as ZombyIO sees it: every category with its channels, and every role with its rights.

Step by step
1
Step 1: Open Server Check
Server Check is in the sidebar under Server, in the search (Ctrl K, type check), and on a phone in the Features tab. It has a page of its own and stays off the overview, so it only asks for your attention when you open it.
Reading needs nothing beyond dashboard access. Pressing Fix needs the same Discord permission the change would need by hand: Manage Roles for role and channel permissions, Manage Channels to delete a category, Manage Server for server settings. The owner and administrators hold all of these.
The score starts at 100 and drops with every finding: a lot for a critical one, less for a warning, a little for a tip. The findings are grouped into four areas:
ZombyIO features: what stops a switched-on feature, such as a role above the bot’s or a channel it may not post in.
Server settings: verification level, the explicit media filter, default notifications, two-factor authentication for moderators.
Roles: what @everyone may do, roles that share a name, how close the server is to Discord’s limit of 250.
Channels and categories: channels everyone can see inside a private category, channels where @everyone may manage things, rules and announcement channels members can post in, empty categories, channels outside any category.
Each finding names the role, channel or setting, says why it matters and gives the steps in Discord under How to fix it.
Tip
Some findings are a matter of taste, such as an announcement channel members may post in. If it is on purpose, leave it; the score is a guide, not a grade.

Step 3: Press Fix
A finding the bot can settle itself has a Fix button. Pressing it makes exactly one change in Discord: the permission comes off @everyone, the overwrite loses the grant, the rules channel becomes read-only, the channel is hidden like its category, the empty category is deleted, the setting is raised. The change appears in Discord’s audit log with your name.
Before the change lands, what was there is kept as a backup. When the page says Fixed, the list refreshes and the finding is gone.
Important
The button only appears when ZombyIO itself holds the permission for the change. A role above the bot’s, a permission the bot lacks or a channel it cannot see are things only an admin can change in Discord; the finding then shows the steps.

Undo is on this page for 30 days.

Step 4: Undo if you change your mind
Under Recent fixes every change made from this page is listed, newest first, for 30 days. Undo puts back what was there: the old permissions, the old overwrite, the old setting. A deleted category comes back as a new one with the same name, position and permissions.
An undo is one change too, with your name in the audit log, and it is listed like a fix.

Step 5: Look at the server as ZombyIO sees it
Below the findings, What this server has lists every category with its channels, in Discord’s order, and every role from the top of the list down. A lock marks a channel @everyone cannot see, a pen one they cannot post in; a role shows whether it holds Administrator, a moderation permission or member rights only, and whether an app manages it.
It is the quickest way to spot a channel in the wrong category, a role that no longer belongs where it sits, or the bot’s own role too far down the list.
Tip
ZombyIO can only hand out and edit roles below its own. If the bot’s role sits low in the list, drag it up in Discord and many findings disappear at once.

Something not working?
The problems people run into most often, and how to fix each one.
A finding has no Fix button
Either the change can only be made in Discord (a role above the bot, a permission the bot lacks, a channel it cannot see, two-factor authentication for moderators), or ZombyIO lacks the permission it would need for it; the finding says which. Give the bot’s role that permission in Discord, then press Check again. See roles and permissions.
It says only an admin with a certain permission can make this change
Fix needs the same permission the change would need by hand: Manage Roles, Manage Channels or Manage Server. Ask the owner or an administrator to press it, or to give your role that permission.
Discord refused the change
Discord checks the bot’s own permissions at the moment of the change. The most common cause is an overwrite in the channel that takes a permission off the bot which the server-wide role grants. Open the channel’s permissions in Discord, give the bot’s role what it needs there, and press Check again.
A finding is on purpose
Leave it. Nothing changes until you press Fix, and the score is there to point at things, not to judge. A channel everyone may read inside a private category, for example, is a common and sensible choice for a staff announcements channel.

Server Check reads the server once a minute. Press Check again to read it now.
A fix is no longer under Recent fixes
Entries are kept for 30 days, and a server keeps its newest 30. After that the change stands as it is; make it back by hand in Discord if needed.
Ask in the ZombyIO support server. Bring your support ID, your server’s support ID and a sentence about what you expected to happen, and someone will look at it with you.
